Dana Cerminaro is a Scranton, Pennsylvania native. She has completed her Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She recently received her Masters of Music Degree in Vocal Studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, Scotland. She has performed numerous concerts in the United States and Italy and is a former co-winner of the Margaret and Nicholas Healy Young Artists' Vocal Competition, a former winner of the Pittsburgh Piano Festival Competition, and a 2009 winner of the Vira I. Heinz Scholarship for Women in Global Leadership. She has presented twice at the Pennsylvania Music Educators State Conference on the topic of Service-Learning. Her teaching experience includes: Director of Music and Classroom teacher at Crafton Children’s Corner in Pittsburgh, PA, music teacher at Blackrock College School in Dublin, Ireland and Music Director, Organist and Classroom Teacher at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and Primary School in Glasgow, Scotland. She has studied Italian language at the Mediterranean Center for the Arts and Sciences in Italy and has studied Opera for three summers with the Ezio Pinza Council for American Singers of Opera, also in Italy. Dana looks forward to working with the members of our parish family!
