Other Ways to Serve
Abington Ecumenical Food Pantry: Parishioners donate non-perishable pantry items to our "Helping the Hungry" baskets located in each church. This ministry allows parishioners to be partners with Jesus in his mission of “bringing glad tidings to the poor.” (Luke 4:18)
Bereavement Ministry: Our volunteers provide grief support on the first Wednesday of the month at 10AM and on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 2PM in the Gathering Room. Volunteers share their hearts and time with those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. No registration is required, all are welcome.
Country Bazaar: Each year, our parishioners put in countless volunteer hours to make our Country Bazaar a huge success. The event is held during the first week of August on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the grounds of Saint Benedict’s church. The fun includes excellent food, games, crafts and entertainment.
Prayer Chain: Caring parishioners pray daily in the privacy of their own homes for the intentions and individual needs of others. Please join us on the prayer chain. Call the Parish Center to sign up as a prayer warrior, or to place someone on the prayer chain.
