First Communion
Sacramental Life
“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
Celebrating First Communion
The Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ, and signifies His communion with us. We receive this sacrament in order to strengthen our communion with Christ and His love. This sacrament also brings us into communion with each other as members of the Catholic faith. The Eucharist creates the unity of the Church because it is the true presence of Christ in our world. We receive this sacrament weekly in order to bring us into communion with Christ and His sacrifice for our sins.
If you are the parent of a child who is in second grade and wish to sign your child up for Communion classes, call the Parish Center at (570) 586-1741.
